found this really neat setting on my humble little nikon that takes 16 shots in like 2 seconds and it puts them in this checkerboard configuration. this is really exciting to me. all the shots are different..not that same repeated..but only look the same cause the subject wasn't moving. i wanna do something really cool with this little hip feature i found. just gotta play around with it a bit more. in the meantime i'm sharing my first with ya'll.
these were taken today right when Sienna (yes, she's home!!) chalice, pax and I got home from church today (late and particulary hungry because of a big accident on the way home that had backed up traffic for miles). my dad stayed home from church because he's got the flu and my mom stayed with him because it's Father's Day and she didn't want him to be alone. they were both sitting out in our front lawn in the shade of a small tree with fresh, hot apple muffins my mom had made so we all wandered right over there and sat down in the provided chairs mom had brought out..mismatched ofcourse. she brought out drinks and soup she'd made in coffee mugs and bread and butter. and it was all ridiculous and perfect; the way sundays should be and usually are and i was filled with the same satisfaction i get when i eatlunch at the drexlers after the new city service. except there was no ice cream and coffee afterwards:)

im so glad to be home with mom's meals and our frontyard! (!!!)
i like how you ended this.. and im gonna have to hear you say the title cause i dont remember how Edna says it. where are you in the house?
next time, say the word, and you shall have your coffee and ice cream (they're both staples around here).
this sounds like a sunday. any other day of the week, and it just would not have seemed right, you know?
That sounds beautiful. Everything is better mismatched (of course), and front yards, family, and good food are perfect partners for a Sunday afternoon. Love you.
ahh, how wonderful.
